Presidential aide evades House intel questions


WASHINGTON — President Trump’s longtime aide Hope Hicks declined to resolve concerns her amount of time in the White House on a closed-door interview yesterday when using the House intelligence committee.

The panel is investigating Russian interference while in the 2016 election and any contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russia. Among Trump’s closest aides, Hicks may be a key eyewitness to his actions during the last several years. She was his spokeswoman throughout the 2016 presidential campaign and is particularly now White House communications director.
